The East-West configuration provides good production throughout the day. Directly facing east-west will yield good production on half of the system in the morning and evening. At the same time, you get good production on both surfaces during the daytime when the sun is directly overhead. This is the most efficient use of space on a flat roof. It is weighted down with ballast, but less than usual for traditional east-west mounting equipment due to good wind shielding.
It can easily be changed from a 10 to 15-degree tilt on the panels with the smart tripod shown in image 2.
